Went on a Sunday afternoon for a little ones birthday party....it was beyond busy! A lot of the areas were overtaken by "big kids" and there's not enough staffing overall. Those that were there working were GREAT. The play areas themselves are really fun and appropriate for all ages, but I've been to parks before where there's designated areas for smaller kids, maybe that's something to consider if you have a very small jumper!
For the amount they charge per person, this place needs some remodeling. Some activities are closed during the week. Their private party rooms are small, and the bathrooms are worse than those in beach public restrooms.
Went for the first time with a groups of kids ages 10-13. It was perfect for them. Check-in took a while but was relatively painless. The only issue we had was that they had no hot food (pizza, hotdogs, pretzels, etc) available. And if you've been with a bunch of boys anywhere, you know they get hungry. You can only feed them so many bags of chips. We had to go someplace else for them to eat. But overall, they had a great time.
I highly recommend a monthly membership (is very cost-effective). The kids seem to have a great time, even my electronic-addicted grandson loves it enough to actually be off of his devices and gadgets! And it’s nice to see the kids engage and actually OFF OF THEIR PHONES! The only problem is that lots of the kids lack parental supervision (they’re either absent or on their phones). SlyZone staff is great, excellent customer service. Parking is plentiful and convenient. They have a snack bar and a few arcade-type games. The accessible areas are well-kept. And they have about 3-4 comfy couch areas for us big kids. Although underneath the play areas (non-accessible to the public could use some serious spring cleaning).
First time here with my 5 year old and three year old. I was able to get a good deal on Groupon for the two of them for around $30 for 90 minute play. Not a bad price for experiencing something new and letting them run around and release all their energy. We arrive Friday around 2:30 google maps said they opened at 2. I was able to find a good parking spot right out front the business. It is located on the left of the awaken church. First impressions were that it looked big and spacious. It was not too crowded and the line to check in went very smoothly. You can fill out their waiver online if you are new to make the process easier. I did not like that you have to pay to use their socks! I bought my own grip socks but was told we have to buy theirs for $3 a pair. The seating area was nice and I like that you can easily see your kids in all the areas since it's pretty open. The snack prices are fairly decent and bathrooms were clean. Plenty of workers around. I also liked that they had outlets to charge your phone since you are there in 90 minute intervals. There were only two that I can see and the seats were already occupied. Overall, I will most likely visit again!
Yes kids have a good time here, but they need to be upfront when you pay for the day of what areas of the park are up and what is not. And adjust the prices accordingly, I was expecting all of it to be open but they had 3 sections that they didn't have open, some of it was because they did not have the staffing.
Title: Disappointing Experience at Sky Zone Chula Vista: A Customer's Perspective.
My name is Omar and this experimented is regarding my father Mohamed.
As a loyal member of Sky Zone Chula Vista for the past six months, I am disappointed to share my negative experiences with the establishment. On two separate occasions, my family and I were treated poorly by some of the employees, leaving us feeling unwelcome and unwanted. This review aims to shed light on the incidents that transpired and the unprofessional behavior exhibited by certain staff members.
First Incident:
The initial occurrence took place on unspecified date, where my family and I were treated horribly. The specific details surrounding this incident remain with us because I didn’t want to make it a big deal for the fist time because I usefully give people a benefit of doubt, but the negative encounter left a lasting impact on our overall perception of the business.
Second Incident was today July 1st, 2023.
On July 1st, 2023, at approximately 8:00pm, my brother-in-law was unfairly treated and subsequently kicked out of the establishment. He was attempting to explain his situation to the manager, Makaelah Gibson, when two young security guards intervened. Shockingly, one of the security guards provoked my brother-in-law by suggesting he catch an attitude with the manager, which escalated the situation further. In response to this provocation, my brother-in-law uttered an expletive. Instead of attempting to defuse the situation and find a resolution, the manager immediately sided with the security guards, instructing my brother-in-law to leave without any efforts to reconcile or smooth things over.
Attempted Purchase:
Before leaving, my brother-in-law requested to purchase socks for his three-year-old son so that the rest of the family could still enjoy their time at Sky Zone. Surprisingly, the employees denied his request, stating that they did not want his money and insisted he leave. Despite this, my brother-in-law persisted, emphasizing that the rest of the family would continue to stay. Eventually, the manager reluctantly gave permission for the purchase. However, throughout this ordeal, the employees made us feel uncomfortable by openly discussing and laughing at our expense.
Unprofessional Behavior:
Perhaps the most unprofessional incident occurred when the manager, Makaelah Gibson, started dancing as if she were in a club, even lifting her shirt to reveal a tattoo on her stomach. This behavior was completely inappropriate and detracted from the professional atmosphere that one would expect from a business establishment.
Conflicting Policies:
Furthermore, we sought permission from a security officer to bring outside food into the facility, which was initially granted. However, once we purchased the food and it arrived, the staff abruptly changed their stance, stating that outside food was not permitted. We informed the manager about the prior approval we had received, but she insisted we leave the premises. This inconsistency in policies left my family feeling unjustly treated, especially knowing that other individuals had brought in food without any objections.
Conclusion:
In light of these unfortunate incidents, I implore the corporate office of Sky Zone to thoroughly investigate the situation. By reviewing the security camera footage, they will be able to witness the treatment my family and I endured. It is disheartening to feel unwelcome and unwanted in a place that my children love. It is my sincere hope that the management addresses these concerns and takes the necessary steps to improve their customer service, ensuring a more positive and inclusive experience for all patrons.
Clean facilities, including bathrooms. The 2 staff members who assisted us were amazing and very friendly.
